Abstract
Caseous calcification of the mitral annulus (CCMA) is a form of degenerative mitral annular calcification (MAC). It is uncommon, found in less than 1% of patients with MAC, and about 0.06–0.07% of general population. With increasing age of the general population it is likely to be found more frequently. We demonstrate the incremental value of advanced cardiovascular imaging in its diagnosis.
