Abstract
The management of patients who have infected hemiarthroplasty of the hip should be individualized. However, in view of the potentially high failure of debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention (DAIR) in this population, consideration should be given to excisional arthroplasty or one- or two-stage exchange with acetabular reconstruction.
